John Carrell was an American ice dancer who competed alongside Lorna Dyer from 1963-68. The couple were North American Champions in 1965 and 1967, also winning the US title in 1967. Together, Carrell and Dyer were runners-up at the US Championships in 1965-66 and placed third in 1963-64. They competed at five World Championships, winning a silver medal in 1967 and bronze medals in 1965-66.
Under the name John Aubrey, Carrell later joined The National Ballet of Canada and performed with them until 1980. After retiring from dance he coached ice skating for a number of years. Carrell later died of AIDS.
