Edward Miller was one of the original members of the Buffalo Germans team that formed in 1895 at a YMCA on Buffalo’s East Side. Miller played in every one of the Buffalo Germans’ wins at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. He was known to be an excellent passer and tenacious defender. The team won 111 consecutive games between 1908-10. They were inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1961. The Buffalo Germans were disbanded in 1925 after compiling a 792-86 record.
