German diver Conny Schmalfuß partnered Dörte Lindner at the 2000 Sydney Games in the synchronized springboard event and finished seventh. Four years later at Athens she came sixth with Ditte Kotzian in the same event. Schmalfuß was more successful at the World Championships with two silver medals (2003 and 2005) and one bronze (2001).
At the Europeans, Schmalfuß won two gold medals (1997, 2002), and four silver and four bronze medals. Domestically, she won nine national titles. Schmalfuß later became a lawyer.
