João Fragoso was one of the most representative painters and sculptors of Portugal. He was active as a designer, ceramist and writer. For many years he was vice-president of the National Society of Fine Arts in Portugal. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Lisbon and attended the School of Fine Arts at Porto.
