Sculpturing, Unknown Event, Open1

For about half of the sculpturing entrants, it is unknown in which of the three events they entered. The catalogue for the 1948 Olympic art exhibition specifies the technique or material for most works. The material, however, does not necessarily imply that the work is a sculpture, a relief, etc. Where specific works could not be individually identified, they are grouped under “Unknown Event”. For a few works it is unclear how the specific technique relates to a particular event; this applies, for instance, to a mosaic (which may have been classified as a relief) or a cup (trophy).
