Todd Marchant played two years with Clarkson University from 1991-93, and was then chosen in the seventh round of the NFL Draft by the New York Rangers. Marchant had a long NHL career, playing from 1993-2011, and appearing in almost 1,200 games. He played one game with the Rangers but was then traded to the Edmonton Oilers, with whom he played through the 2003 season. He then played two years with the Columbus Blue Jackets before finishing his career with six seasons with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. In 2007 Marchant played on a Stanley Cup Champion with the Mighty Ducks. After his retirement as a player he remained with the Ducks as director of player development. Marchant played more NHL games than any player chosen in the 1993 NHL Draft.
