In 1937, Slavík built a new grandstand for the Letná Stadium of AC Sparta Prague made of reinforced concrete, which is now considered a constructivist monument. In the 1950s, he was involved in the reconstruction of the historic core of Cheb.
The stadium of the SK Slavia Praha was like that of the AC Sparta Praha located in Praha’s Letná district. In 1934, one of the still wooden stands collapsed. The designs, which were submitted in 1936 by Bohumil Kněžek and Josef Václavík, Josef Kříž, and Václav Slavík, respectively, were developed when the club planned to build a new stadium for 50,000 spectators. The end of the Czechoslovak Republic and Nazi rule prevented the plans from being implemented. In 1945, the old stadium was burned down by German troops immediately before the end of the war. In 1948, a new construction was inaugurated, but only two years later had to give way to a Stalin monument.
