Ian McGowan rowed quad scull for the USA at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. McGowan rowed at U Cal Berkeley, sitting in the six seat for their eight that won the 2002 IRA and Pac-10 regattas. He competed as a sculler at the 1997 and 1998 Nation’s Cup and the 1996 and 1997 World Junior Championships. McGowan rowed and played football in high school in Snohomish, Washington.
