Nick Peterson rowed quad sculls for the USA at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He also competed at the 1998 and 1999 World Championships, in the quad in 1998, finishing fourth, and with a ninth place in the 1999 double sculls.
Peterson attended Harvard, where he graduated in 1995 with a degree in Afro-American studies. After his rowing career ended, he worked for Alex Garvin & Associates, an architectural firm. From 2010-15 he worked for the New York City Department of Transportation as a senior project manager for public spaces. In 2015 he founded the Peterson Watch Company, a company that focuses on timepieces for sports performance.
