Biography

Corey Millen was a center who played for the University of Minnesota. In 1987 he was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team. Millen represented the United States at two Winter Olympics, the 1987 Canada Cup, and the 1985 and 1989 World Championships. He also had a long professional hockey career. Millen was drafted by the New York Rangers in the third round of the 1982 NHL draft, but deferred playing professionally until after college. He played three seasons with the Rangers, from 1989-92. He later played for the Los Angeles Kings, Dallas Stars, New Jersey Devils, and the Calgary Flames, eventually retiring from the NHL after the 1996-97 season. Millen then played for six years in Europe, five with the Cologne Sharks (Kölner Haie) in Germany, and one season in Lugano, Switzerland.
