Josef Oberhauser was an Austrian bobsledder participating in the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics. He crewed with Herbert Gruber, Josef Eder, and Utz Chwalla in the four-men Austria I bob and was placed sixth. He also crewed with Gruber in the two-men bob, finishing eighth. The previous year the pair won the bronze medal at the World Championships. In 1970 Oberhauser was European youth runner-up, also in the two-men bob.
