Biography

Frank Olafsen was an all-round Norwegian sportsman who played football, bandy, and ice hockey for Skeid in Oslo. On the football pitch Olafsen played in 350 matches for the club, winning the Norwegian Cup three times (1963, 1965, 1974) and the league title in 1966. Between 1967 and 1973 he also played in 18 matches for the Norwegian national team.

In bandy Olafsen played more than 400 matches for Skeid during his career, which lasted until 1985. He represented Norway at a dozen editions of the World Championships. Staying on the ice he played hockey at both domestic and international levels, including representing Norway at the 1964 Innsbruck Olympics. After his sports career Olafsen worked as a sportswear salesman.
