Biography

František Procházka was a defenseman who played all over Europe, but was with CHZ Litvínov during his entire Czechoslovakian League career (1983-90). In 1990 he moved to Jokerit Helsinki in the Finnish League, and then jumped around to various leagues and teams, as follows: EHC Freiburg in Germany (1991-93), HC Devils Milano in Italy (1993-95), Chamonix HC in France (1994-95), ES Weißwasser in Germany (1995-96), Ayr Scottish Eagles (1996-97), back with Litvinov in 1997-98, ERC Haßfurt in Germany (1998-99), and finishing his career in the German 3rd-level league with Dresdner Eislöwen in 1999-2000. Procházka played for the national team at the 1992 Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal, and at the World Championships in 1986, 1989-90 and 1992, winning three bronze medals in 1989-90 and 1992. After he retired as a player, Procházka coached, working with HC Teplice in the Czech Second League for a time.
