Two-time Olympian Andreas Pusnik was the brother of Gerhard Pusnik, and both were sons of Sepp Puschnig. The siblings were also nephews of Del Saint John.
Andreas was an Austrian ice hockey centre and member of the Olympic national teams at the 1994 Lillehammer and 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. The teams were eliminated in the group stages and finished 12th, and 14th, respectively, both times finishing last. Pusnik won 71 international caps and scored 48 points (17+31).
Domestically, Pusnik played with EC Klagenfurter AC, Villacher SV, and HC Innsbruck. He became a three-time Austrian champion with Klagenfurt (1991) and Villach (1999, 2002). Pusnik later obtained his coaching diploma and coached youth teams at Villacher SV.
