Max Robert was a sprinter who was recruited to bobsledding for his speed. In 1995 Robert won a French title in the 4x100 relay. On the ice, Robert won a bronze medal at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics in the four-man, along with Bruno Mingeon, Emmanuel Hostache and Éric Le Chanony.
