Mariano Lozano played singles and doubles at the 1924 Paris Olympics. He also played Wimbledon that year, losing in the first round of both singles and doubles. Lozano was the silver medalist in singles and doubles at the first Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games, in 1926, and he also competed at the 1930 CAC Games, winning the gold medal in doubles alongside Alfonso Unda.
