Defenceman Mika Strömberg started his career in 1987 with Jokerit and stayed with the club for the next 12 seasons. With Jokerit, Strömberg won Finnish titles in 1992, 1994, 1996 and 1997. In 1999-00, Strömberg played with HC Fribourg-Gottéron in the Swiss league and then from 2000-02 played with EHC Chur. After another season with Jokerit, Strömberg played three seasons with Djurgårdens IF in Sweden. In 2006 Strömberg returned to Finland and finished his career by playing one season with HPK, one season with KalPa, one season with Jokerit and then from 2008-10 again with KalPa. Internationally, Strömberg won an Olympic bronze in 1994, was World champion in 1995 and won a World Championships silver in 1994. After finishing his sporting career, Strömberg worked as an ice hockey coach. Starting as a coach with KalPa, he was the head coach of TPS in 2011-12.
