Tom Yurkovich played college hockey as a goalie for the University of North Dakota. In addition to his 1964 Olympic appearance, Yurkovich played for the US at the 1961 and 1966 World Championships. He also played for the Rochester Mustangs of the US Hockey League from 1957-69. Yurkovich worked during his career with IBM as a systems engineer. He also worked as a hockey referee for colleges and high schools and in later years, coached goalies at a local high school.
