Description
Saint Lucia formed a National Olympic Committee on 22 January 1987 which was given official recognition by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in September 1993 at the IOC session in Monte Carlo. The country first competed at the Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996. They have not yet competed in the Olympic Winter Games.
Saint Lucia is yet to win its first Olympic medal. Levern Spencer has had the best result for a Saint Lucian athlete, having placed sixth in the 2012 women’s high jump.
