Triathlon at the 2008 Summer Olympics

The 2008 triathlon venue was a temporary facility set up near the Ming Dynasty Tomb Reservoir, in the Changping District of northern Beijing. The men and women both raced the now standard Olympic Distance of 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, and 10 km run. As with any of the distance events in 2008, there was concern about the Beijing atmosphere but no major difficulties occurred with any of the competitors.
