Tobias Unger

German sprinter Tobias Unger became a triple Olympian from Athens 2004 to London 2012. At Athens he reached the 200 metres final and finished seventh. At Beijing in 2008, he was eliminated in the second round over 100 metres. With the German 4x100 metres relay squad he was eliminated in the heats in 2004 and 2012 and placed an unfortunate fourth in 2008.

Unger won four international medals: The 200 metres bronze at the 2004 World Indoor Championships, 4x100 metres relay bronze and silver respectively at the 2010 and 2012 Europeans, and his greatest moment, winning the 200 metres gold at the 2005 European Indoors.

Unger also won seven gold medals at German nationals. Over 100 metres (2005, 2008, 2011), and over 200 metres (2003-05,2009). He also won eight more German indoor titles over 60 metres (2004-05, 2008, 2010) and 200 metres (2003-06).

Unger trained as a bank clerk and later studied sports management. Finally, he founded a fitness studio. He was also employed by football (soccer) club VfB Stuttgart as an athletics and fitness coach.
