Biography

As a 20-year-old geography student at Southampton University, Jon Potter was the youngest member of the team which won the bronze medals at the 1984 Olympics. After graduating, Potter joined Hounslow and at the Seoul Olympics played at centre-half in every match, scoring once in Britain’s 3-0 win over India. Potter won silver medals at the 1986 World Cup and the 1987 European Cup and played 69 times for England and 84 times for Great Britain.
