An épée specialist, Armand Mouyal competed at three Olympics Games, those of Helsinki 1952, Melbourne 1956, and Roma 1960, winning a bronze medal in team épée at Melbourne. He was World Champion in individual épée in 1957, and helped France win seven team medals at the World Championships, with a gold in 1951; silvers in 1953, 1955, 1961, and 1963; and bronze medals in 1954 and 1958. Mouyal won individual French épée titles in 1952, 1953, and 1954.
