Biography

Souheil Ayoub won multiple Arab and Lebanese national fencing titles over the course of his career, but his sole Olympic appearance came in 1968, where he was eliminated in round one of the individual foil. He was also entered into the individual épée, but did not start. Later in life he worked as a coach and promoted his sport in Lebanon, but he continued to fence into his old age, with his last appearance at the Veteran World Championships coming in 2019, when he was 86 years old. At the age of 90, he took part in the opening ceremony of the Beirut Sports Festival. By career, he was a businessman.
