Biography

As a volleyball player Benedykt Krysik represented AZS Warszawa before becoming a noted coach in the sport. From 1965 to 1970 Krysik coached the Polish women’s team, winning silver at the 1967 Women’s European Volleyball Championship and Olympic bronze at the 1968 Games in Mexico City. After the Games he coached domestic men’s and women’s teams before moving to the Netherlands in 1973, coaching the men’s national team for four years. In 1984 Krysik and his wife moved to Sweden, where they raised a family.
