Tom January was the best known soccer player of the three January brothers, and was voted captain of the CBC team, for whom he played sweeper. He also played baseball for CBC. On 10 January 1911, he married Margaret McCarthy by whom he had four children. January worked most of his life with the St. Louis police department.
