John January, a halfback, was one of three brothers who played for Christian Brothers’ College. January attended the University of Missouri and graduated with an engineering degree. After his graduation, January worked as a draftsman with the St. Louis City Hall for a few years, but then moved to McAllen, Texas before 1910 and ran a farm there with his younger brother [Charles] (/athletes/27761).
