Antoine Wehrer represented the club Société de Gymnastique from the capital’s district of Grund. In 1911, he competed at the World Championships in Turin. At the first national trials for the Olympics in January 1912, he placed eighth. After the final trials in June, Wehrer was one of 16 gymnasts selected for the Olympics. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm, the team from Luxembourg including Wehrer placed fifth and last in the free system team event but missed bronze by less than one point in the European system team event. In the individual all-around, he placed joint 15th as the best gymnast from Luxembourg.
Wehrer also played football for was depot manager at for the FC Union Sportive Luxembourg-Hollerich. state railway C.F.L. After his first wife, Marie Pommerell, had died, he married Marie Demuth.
