Meinrad Berchtold

Meinrad Berchtold was a Swiss gymnast who represented the national team during the 1960s. In 1964 Berchtold was part of the Swiss gymnastics delegation to the Tokyo Olympics, placing 14th in the team competition. His best individual performance came on the vault, where he tied for 36th with five other gymnasts. He returned to the Olympics four years later, with Switzerland finishing ninth in the team competition at the Mexico City Games. Once again, Berchtold had his best individual performance on the vault, this time tying for 18th. He also represented Switzerland at the European Championships in 1967 and 1969.
