Charles Sorum competed in four events at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. He competed in the individual all-around (37th); the individual all-around, apparatus work (31st); the individual all-around, field sports (72nd); and the team all-around, apparatus work and field sports (6th). Sorum represented the Brooklyn Norwegier Turnverein. Sorum was born in Oslo, Norway, but came to the US in 1892 and was naturalized as a US citizen in March 1900. He was born as Carl Thorbjørn Sørum, but in America used the name Charles Sorum.
