Harald, brother of Gerd Faderbauer, was an Austrian rower participating at the 1988 Seoul and 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. He partnered Thomas Musyl in the double sculls in 1988 and was eliminated in the repêchage round. At Barcelona, he rowed the single sculls and placed eighth.
Between 1985 and 2000, Faderbauer won 26 national titles. From 1989-95 he rowed at six World Championships in different boats without great success and failed to reach an A-final.
