German rower Robert Huber was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the eights at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. His boat from Mannheimer RV Amicitia won the German national title in 1928 and 1931. Huber went missing-in-action during World War II on 1 July 1942 in Russia.
