Rower Hans Krause-Wichmann participated in the coxless fours with Werner Biel, his brother Achim, and Hanns Peters at the Helsinki Olympics in 1952, the highlight of his career. The boat won its heat in 6:40.8 minutes ahead of the favored Norway and Italy boats. They lost their semi-final and also closely lost the repêchage semi-final and missed the final. In 1955 Hans and his brother Achim finished second in the coxed pairs. By profession, Hans was an architect.
