Jim Blair went to Cal/Berkeley. In 1928 he rowed the seventh seat for their crew which won the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Regatta and, after graduation, was on their eight-oared shell which won the gold at the Los Angeles Olympics. Blair was the smallest oarsman in the eight, weighing only 168 lb. (76 kg.). He went into the packaging industry.
