Biography

Porter Collins rowed in college at Brown University, graduating in 1993. He rowed for the US at the 1996 and 2000 Olympics, both times in the eight. Collins won three gold medals at the World Championships, in the coxed four in 1995, and in the eight in 1998-99. He also won a bronze medal in the eight at the 1993 World Junior Championships.

Collins entered the financial business, initially as a portfolio analyst at Goldman Sachs. He later was a financial services analyst and a retail/consumer analyst with Chilton Investment, and then joined FrontPoint Financial Services Fund. Collins co-founded Seawolf Capital LLC, an equity hedge fund based in New York City. He has served on numerous boards, including the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, the Investment Committee of Salisbury School, the Board of Directors of the National Rowing Foundation, and the Board of Stewards of Power Ten New York, and is a steward of the Brown Rowing Association.
