Frank Dummerth had the stroke-oar for the Western Rowing Club four at the 1904 Olympics. In 1902, Dummerth, rowing with Gustav Voerg and Lou Helm, two of his Olympic partners, won a national title in the fours without. Dummerth was a St. Louis native who was born and died in the city. Little else is known of his life.
