Austrian sports shooter Nicky Szapáry was the son of three-time Olympian Laszlo Szapáry. Nicky participated in the 1980 Moskva (Moscow) and 1984 Los Angeles Olympics in the open skeet events. He placed 11th and 13th, respectively. Szapáry later became a trap and skeet coach, running his own shooting camps at Dobersberg in Austria and in the United States at Vero Beach, Florida. He also published several training books.
