Richard Frece was an Austrian diver participating in the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics. He reached the final in the platform event at Atlanta but placed 12th, and last. Frece failed to advance to the springboard final in 1996 and 2000.
At the 1999 European Championships Frece finished an unfortunate fourth as his best international result. At the Worlds that same year he placed tenth. Frece later became a managing director of a car and motorcycle repair shop.
