Klaus Konzorr grew up in Rostock but defected to West Germany when the Berlin wall was built. He was a diver who finished 15th at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics with the mixed German team. He came back in 1968 at Mexico City, by then representing West Germany, and placed 18th. Another four years later at München he was eliminated in the qualifying round, competing at each Olympics on platform. He won West German national platform titles in 1962-64, 1966-67, and in 1971.
