Athlete Johanna Vancura was Austrian champion at 100 metres in 1936-38, at 200 in 1934 and 1936-38, and in the 4×100 relay between 1933-36. She participated in the 1936 Berlin Olympics and reached the semi-finals of the 100 metres. With the 4×100 relay she was eliminated in the heats. In 1934, Vancura won a relay bronze medal at the Women’s World Games. Domestically, she represented Wiener (Vienna) AC.
