Biography

Mary Vandervliet was a Canadian track and field athlete who specialised as a sprinter. Vandervliet ran in the 100 metres at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics where she reached the semi-finals. She was also named as an alternate for the 4 × 100 metres relay but did not compete. Her great-granddaughter Emma Spence competed in gymnastics at the 2018 Youth Olympics.
