Glen Dawson twice finished on the podium at the AAU steeplechase – third in 1932 and second in 1936. He was also fourth in the 1933 steeplechase, and fourth in the 1935 AAU mile. Dawson attended Oklahoma Central State Teachers College and later the University of Oklahoma. After the 1936 Berlin Olympics, he retired from running in 1937 and started a business career. Dawson died in Tulsa in January 1968 after a long illness.
