Biography

Gayle Dull competed for the University of Michigan after attending Galion High School in Galion, Ohio, where he ran track and was captain of the football and basketball teams. Dull moved to Pittsburgh where he competed for the Pittsburgh AA and coached at Carnegie Tech (later Carnegie Mellon). Married, with two children, he died from complications after an operation for appendicitis.

Personal Best: 5K – 15:27.0 (1908).
