Biography

Rafael Romero had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1963 Pan American Games 100 metres, 2nd in the 1959 Pan American Games 4×100 metres Relay (with Emilio Romero, Clive Bonas, and Lloyd Murad), 2nd in the 1963 Pan American Games 4×100 metres Relay (with Horacio Esteves, Arquímedes Herrera, and Héctor Thomas). At the 1959 Pan American Games Rafael Romero also finished sixth in the 100 metres.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.2 (1961); 200 – 20.8 (1960).
