Yevgeny Davydov began his hockey career in 1984 with Traktor Chelyabinsk and joined CSKA Moskva in 1986, playing there until 1992. With CSKA Moskva Davydov won three Soviet titles (1987-89) and four European Champions Cup titles (1987-90). In 1992 Davydov joined the Winnipeg Jets and played in the NHL for three seasons, also with the Florida Panthers and Ottawa Senators. From 1995-2003 Davydov played in France, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Italy and Russia, but with less success, rarely staying with one club for an entire season, although in 1997 he was the leading goal scorer in the Swedish League. Internationally Davydov won a 1992 Winter Olympic gold and was World Champion in 1990, also winning a silver at the 1990 European Championships and gold at the 1990 Goodwill Games.
