Although Frank Haller was born in San Francisco, he fought out of the Cincinnati Athletic Club and Gymnasium in 1904, and competed at that year’s Olympics as a featherweight, winning a silver medal. After the Games, Haller stayed in St. Louis, and joined the Missouri Athletic Club, which he represented at many boxing tournaments, again fighting as a featherweight. After his competitive days, Haller established the “Frank Haller Bird Store”, which advertised itself as the “oldest bird store in St. Louis”. He retired in the early 1930’s.
