Biography

Cal Langford was a Canadian all-round athlete who competed in track and field, rugby, and bobsleigh. Langford won several Manitoba and Canadian track and field awards before taking to the ice, representing Canada at two Olympics. At the 1988 Calgary Games he was part of the four-man bobsleigh team that finished 13th. Four years later he just missed out on a medal at the Albertville Games when the Canadian sled finished fourth. Langford also played rugby for the Winnipeg Saracens Rugby Football Club along with his cousins. Away from sport he worked for more than 40 years at Via Rail Canada.
