Tricia Stennes was a short-track speed skater who competed in short-track demonstration events at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. She was only in middle school when she made the 1988 US Olympic Team. She also skated long-track and also tried to make the 1988 Olympic Team in those events. Stennes was also on the 1992 US Winter Olympic team, marked for the relay, but she did not skate. She later became a team coach in 2010 for USA Speedskating at the Marquette (Michigan) Olympic Training Center.
