Martin Arhelger was a St. Louis native who played in the basketball tournament that was held during the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. Arhelger represented the Missouri Athletic Club, which finished third in the tournament. At the time of the Olympics he was working as an architect’s apprentice. He later became the architect for the city of St. Louis and designed stations for their streetcar system.
