Biography

Lynnette Love competed in taekwondo as a demonstration sport at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. She won the heavyweight class in 1988 and tied for third as a heavyweight in 1992. Love was on the US National Team from 1979-92 and then became the team coach. She was a World Champion in 1985, 1987, and 1991, and won gold medals at the Pan American Championships in 1980, 1982, 1983, 1986, 1988, and 1990. She was US heavyweight champion from 1979-87 and 1991. Love graduated from Howard University.
